Quinta Sénior do Carquejal is located in the parish of Alfena (Valongo County, District of Porto). It‘s a private institution which is recognized by the Portuguese State. It was founded and built in 2015, on a private farm.

The location is harmonious, authentic and quiet. The presence of lush green nature is an essential advantage. Very close to the center of the city of Alfena, Quinta Sénior do Carquejal is easily accessible and just a few kilometers from the airport, the center of Porto and the sea.

Its main purpose is to respond to the community's population needs in order to ensure the protection of elderly and disable citizens.

Its function is to receive elderly people, who may be healthy and independent, disabled and / or with reduced mobility. Attention and adapted care shall be given to them.
